Sailing

Located on the river Vecht in the beautiful outskirts of Nederhorst den Berg is Châlet Parc De Vechtoever. The Vecht flows between the marsh and lake areas of Loosdrecht, Kortenhoef and Ankeveen, among others. You can visit these areas by boat. You can also continue sailing south and visit Loenen, Breukelen and Utrecht or north and visit Weesp, Muiden and the IJmeer with Pampus. But Amsterdam is also accessible by (motor) boat and you can sail right up the Amstel River. All routes pass through particularly beautiful countryside and are very easy to reach by boat with your cottage on the Vecht as a base.

Bikes

By bike you can reach the Gooi with its famous forests and moors and vast network of bicycle paths. The Gooi painting villages such as Laren and Blaricum, the fortified town of Naarden and Media City Hilversum, are well worth a visit. Between Hilversum and Bussum is Nature Bridge Zanderij Crailoo. This is the largest natural bridge in Europe. This bridge forms a human and animal connecting link between the natural areas of the Vecht region, the ‘s-Graveland country estates and the Spanderswoud with the heathlands of the Gooi and the natural areas of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The estates along the Vecht and ‘s-Graveland are attractive locations to visit. That’s very easy if you take your cottage on the Vecht at Châlet Parc De Vechtoever as your starting point.
