Châlet Parc De Vechtoever is a green park and intends to stay that way.
Surrounded by nature, our park is built around three key elements: Rest, Space, and Recreation. These values can be seen and felt throughout the park. That’s why we are committed to preserving the flora and fauna in our natural surroundings—not only to ensure that future visitors can enjoy this beautiful environment but also because we take great pride in the natural charm of our recreation park.
Nature inclusive business
In line with the growing focus on sustainability and ecological responsibility, Châlet Parc De Vechtoever plans to enhance the park with more indigenous plantings. These will enrich the park’s natural value and encourage the presence of birds and small mammals. This nature-inclusive approach forms a strong foundation for the park’s long-term sustainability.
Extensive mowing policy
Currently, only the paths along the banks are mowed, allowing the remaining grass to grow tall. By adopting an extensive mowing policy and gradually ‘impoverishing’ the soil, the greenery along the Vecht will develop a more diverse character. This will create food and shelter for wildlife while allowing plants and flowers to thrive. Additionally, the introduction of flower ribbons will further enhance biodiversity and the park’s natural appeal.
